The Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy Programme for Anglophone West Africa: Improving Expertise for Sustained Advocacy on the African Continent

The Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy Programme (MHLAP) was developed in response to the poor mental health indices of the majority of the countries in Africa, with specific focus on the Anglophone countries of West Africa.

The fourth edition of the training workshop was successfully hosted in Ibadan, Nigeria, between the 24th June and the 5th July 2013. A total of 29 participants from seven African countries of South Africa (2), Kenya (2), Ghana (3), Sierra Leone (3), Liberia (3), Gambia (2) and Nigeria (14) attended the training.

Additional details about the MHLAP project are available here.
